Pope John Paul II, guided by inspiration, called for a new evangelization with a new Pentecost and a new springtime. This new evangelization, beyond band-aid solutions or addressing external elements, entails a renewal of the foundations in the path of the early Church - with a rekindling by the fire of the Holy Spirit and a return to the original kerygma, "Jesus is Lord." Part II describes the trajectory of a renewed evangelization: beginning with love of Christ's Church; highlighting the central role of lay mission; evangelizing in the path of Christ; adoration through a cosmic vision of the liturgy; and preaching Christ in the Word. It culminates with a chapter on "Mary, Morning Star of the New Evangelization."
